The idea of an APS-C sized sensor in a compact, mirrorless camera, is an exciting prospect for nature photography. The idea of not having to lug around heavy equipment, when hiking in the field, gives me goosebumps. I purchased the NEX-5N as a compact backup camera (like most photographers will do) with the intention of testing out the possibility of this system becoming my primary landscape camera.

The stock and fine art photography markets are not what they used to be (before I joined the club 
) and so I am also available to do San Diego local portrait photo sessions and surf photo sessions, as well as other styles of on-location and action shoots. I am open to discuss any shoot that you may desire.
Standard Sessions:
I attempt to capture an individual’s personality, through expression and implied movement. I don’t operate out of a studio, instead I shoot on-location and primarily use natural light.
Surf Sessions:
I really enjoy shooting surfers in action. I use a long telephoto lens to shoot action shots from shore and traditional lenses for portrait shots on the beach. Coming soon, I will be using an underwater housing for up-close, wide-angle action shots in the water.
